We will get you in the water before they arrive. This will make it more likely that the dolphins swim to us, rather than to us. Blue Dolphin Tours is smaller than larger boats, which can carry as many as 150 people. We only have 6 passengers (children and adults included). You can be in the water quickly with your snorkel gear on without any disruptions or splashing that large groups often cause, which often scares the dolphins away. For larger groups of up to 30 people, we have five identical boats. We limit the number to six per boat. A large family blue dolphin for up to 15 people is also available. No pets are allowed on the boats.

The water in St Andrews Bay is ideal for novice swimmers. It is calm, shallow, open, and often full of life. We welcome all levels of expertise and ages to share an unforgettable lifetime in the water with us.

The average public tour lasts three hours. Blue Dolphin Tours offer a two hour public tour as well as a private tour of the dolphins (two to four). There are boats that can accommodate up six guests. The large family Blue Dolphin cruise accommodates up to 15 guests. On excursions, local outfitters often provide snorkeling equipment. Large groups might enjoy the bright-yellow Sea Screamer at 73 feet, offering both sunset and day cruises. A two-hour tour covers a 10-mile ride along southeastern California's coast, as well as dolphin watching. The captain may allow your kids to steer the boat if you bring them along.

Unlike the larger tour boats that carry up to 150 people, Blue Dolphin Tours carries only 6 passengers (children included). We can have you in the water with your snorkel gear on quickly and without all the splashing and disruptions that large groups create, often frightening the dolphins away. We have 5 identical boats for larger groups, up to 30 persons limited to 6 per boat. We also have a new Large Family Blue Dolphin for up to 15 passengers. Sorry no pets allowed on boats.

We will take you to some of our favorite local snorkel spots off of Shell Island. If the seas are calm and safe, our experienced Captain will take you out to the Gulf of Mexico to see the dolphins up close and personal in their natural habitat.
